~~English Positive Discipline Mentor Group~~

What: Monthly meetings for Positive Discipline facilitators to come share innovative ideas, practice facilitating the activities, problem solve, and stay connected in the PD community.
When: 3rd Saturday of the month, 11:30am to 1pm
Where: Virtual on Zoom contact us for the up-to-date zoom link and password
Who: Led by Jane Weed-Pomerantz and Stephanie Barron Lu, and open to all who are trained, regardless of whether you are currently teaching or not!
Cost: FREE
How: Just come join us! Meetings are drop-in. You can also RSVP or get questions answered by calling 831-476-7284×107 or texting 831-292-4088 or better yet send Stephanie an email at stephanie@pdcrcc.org and request a one-to-one check in to answer any burning questions you may have on better integrating PD concepts and skills in your site/school!

Parent Educator and Classroom Educator Trainings

If you’re considering becoming a Certified Positive Discipline educator (for parents or for students in classrooms), we’d love to help! PDCR offers training opportunities for both:

“Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way” (to teach parents in most settings)
“Positive Discipline in the Classroom” (for teachers, school administrators, and school counselors to teach children in school/classroom settings)

These 2-day (13-hour) trainings are offered in English and in Spanish, and both materials and certification fees are included in the cost (along with the option of 13 hours of Continuing Education credit). Limited partial and full scholarships are available.

Facilitator Mentor Groups

If you are already trained as a Positive Discipline Parent or Classroom Educator and would like support as you teach Positive Discipline or prepare to teach, please attend one of our Mentor Groups. We also encourage those who have been trained as a Positive Discipline educator to join us for the mentor meetings regardless of whether or not you are teaching Positive Discipline, as a way to stay connected to the community and to keep your training fresh!
